This competition is open to all writers who feel theyve got a little bit of ugly in them. Ysee, beauty is everywhere. Its in the notes of a songbird, the fire of a sunrise, or the curves of a lady (or man, whichever is your interest). We dont want any of that rubbish. We want to see the places where the cracks open up, where the make-up comes off and the true image is seen*. We want to get a feel for the streets through the

TELL ME A LIEEverybody lies, sometime.
We lie to ourselves and to each other. We tell big lies, small lies, white lies, bald-faced lies and fibs, lies-by-omission, tall tales and shaggy dog stories. We over- and underplay the facts, pretend, obfuscate, scam and swindle. We pull each others legs - and the wool over other folks eyes - and people are not always what they seem.
